This workshop is for students who already understand the basics of photography. You need to have a sound knowledge of the working of the digital SLR in manual mode.
Students need a digital SLR camera with an 18-55mm lens as a minimum requirement. An additional lens with a focal range of 55-200mm is an advantage.
Any brand of digital SLR camera with the right functions can be used for the course.
The subjects covered in this workshop include: Understanding Light, Exposure, Lenses, Composition, Different Types of Photography.
NO LIGHT – NO PHOTO! Therefore, I need to understand light. What is EXPOSURE? Why do I need to understand exposure? Why do I need different lenses? What is the purpose of the Prime, Zoom, Fish Eye, Telephoto, Macro and Wide Angle Lenses? How do I prevent dust getting onto my image sensor, which can cause serious damage to my lens?
All of the above subjects are covered in depth. Learn how different subjects and settings affect your photographs. Every theoretical subject is followed by a practical session.
