Vouchers and Certificates

LIVE it offers Experience Vouchers and Gift Certificates.

An Experience Voucher can only be redeemed for the specific experience, adventure, lifestyle or leisure option stated on the voucher.

A Gift Certificate can be redeemed against any of our experiences, adventures, lifestyle and leisure options. A Gift Certificate, however, must be converted to an Experience Voucher first.

Every LIVE it voucher has a unique reference number. Vouchers need to be kept safe and secure, as they cannot be replaced if used fraudulently. LIVE it accepts no responsibility for any loss you may incur, as a result of the voucher being utilised by a third party.

We reserve the right to cancel vouchers or credit balances that we deem to have been obtained fraudulently.


Most Experience Vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase. Some vouchers, however, are valid for a shorter period. The exact expiry date is printed on the voucher. You must book and take your experience before this expiry date, or the voucher will no longer be valid.

Gift Certificates are valid for two years from date of purchase. The exact expiry date is printed on the certificate. You must use the certificate before this expiry date, or it will no longer be valid.

Expired vouchers and certificates are non-refundable in whole or in part. After a voucher or certificate has expired, all attempted transactions will be declined. Any unused value after the expiry date, becomes the property of LIVE it.

Some experiences are sold as Time Limit Experiences. This means that the participation date must be both booked and taken by the Time Limit Experience Date. This date is clearly stated both on our website at time of purchase and on the voucher.

If a Time Limited Experience has not been booked and taken by the Time Limit Experience Date shown, that voucher will no longer be valid and is non-refundable.


Experience Vouchers are totally flexible and can be used to book any other experience advertised. Vouchers may only be exchanged once, without attracting a fee. All subsequent valid exchanges will incur an administration fee of R150-00 per voucher.

If your new chosen experience is of greater value than your original experience, you will be required and prompted to settle the difference.

If your new chosen experience is of lesser value, a Gift Certificate will be issued for the difference, to be used against a future experience.

All exchanges are subject to the same expiry date as the original voucher.


It is the responsibility of the purchaser to correctly address gifts. LIVE it cannot be held responsible for missing or delayed orders, where incorrect or incomplete delivery details and instructions have been provided.

A re-delivery charge will apply if the item has to be re-delivered due to an incorrect address, if the recipient is unavailable to receive the delivery, or if there is no safe place to leave the item.

Regarding email deliveries, LIVE it cannot be held liable or responsible for any loss suffered as a result of an Experience Voucher or Gift Certificate being blocked by filters or firewalls, or where an incorrect email address has been entered by the purchaser.


Experience Vouchers bought from LIVE it can be refunded within 7 days of purchase only. Where dates have already been booked and confirmed with an experience provider, refunds are strictly subject to their cancellation policy (see below).

Refunds are always made to the person who made the original purchase. Vouchers originally purchased by credit or debit card will be credited to that same card. Purchases paid for by EFT will be refunded by EFT. Any delivery fees and bank charges will be deducted prior to refunds.

Gift Certificates are not refundable under any circumstances.


All experiences, adventures, lifestyle and leisure options are offered by our many valued service providers. LIVE it is not the provider of any experience.

You need to contact the relevant service provider to make a booking. Contact information is included on your Experience Voucher.

Many experiences are weather dependent. Therefore, you may want to check with the supplier before you leave home. In adverse weather conditions, your experience will have to be re-scheduled.

On the day of your experience, please take your Experience Voucher with you and hand this to the experience provider, on arrival.


Once you have confirmed a date with an experience provider, you are bound by their terms and conditions regarding changes or cancellations. It is not possible to change the booking unless the venue agrees to the change.

Sometimes an experience provider may need to cancel the experience at short notice, for reasons beyond their control, such as adverse weather conditions, illness or mechanical breakdown. We strongly recommend, therefore, that you contact the venue on the day before you depart for your experience, to check. We regret that in the event of cancellation, LIVE it is unable to reimburse travel, accommodation or any other expenses you may incur in relation to the cancelled experience.


Some of our experiences (typically driving or flying experiences) have weight or height restrictions, which are usually dictated by the vehicle or aircraft in which the experience will take place. Others may have an age restriction for insurance or legal. Some of our driving experiences may also require a South African driving licence. Restrictions may vary between venues. The majority of our experiences require you to be in a reasonable state of health and fitness, and some (such as Tandem Skydive, Parachute Jump and Scuba Diving) require more detailed medical information. If you are in any doubt about your ability to take part in any of our experiences, please contact the venue directly and check before making your booking.

Alternatively, our Customer Services team will be happy to advise you on the suitability of experiences.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you choose an experience suitable for your intended recipient. We will not be held liable to refund you, should you purchase an experience and its restrictions render it unsuitable for the recipient.


The information provided by LIVE it about each product is correct at the time of print. However, their content or format may change slightly during the year. Current details are available on our website. Experiences are for one participant only, unless otherwise stated in the title, or within the experience details.


The photographs used on our website to illustrate product options, particularly those that take place at more than one location, are used as an indication only of the vehicles, machines, craft, animals and venues you will experience.


The LIVE it network of suppliers includes many of South Africa’s best experiences and venues. We are always adding to the items we offer, but occasionally we may need to withdraw a venue or experience featured here, for reasons beyond our control.

If your venue or experience is withdrawn, you will be offered an alternative venue or experience, wherever possible, but please note that this is likely to be at a different location and/or with a different supplier. Each venue has its own terms and conditions and your participation is conditional upon your acceptance of same.

Session Lengths

Session lengths are approximate and are given simply as an indication of the time you will spend at the venue. Unless stated otherwise, you will usually be taking turns with other people and there may be waiting time involved. We give itineraries and times as a guide only, as the running order of an event may change.


All of our product options are offered subject to availability. Please book as early as possible, preferably at least 21 days in advance, or further for peak times such as weekends or holiday periods. We strongly suggest you do not make arrangements in connection with the booking until it has been confirmed with the venue.

Where specific elements of the experience, such as vehicles or celebrities are not available due to mechanical breakdown or illness, the venue reserves the right to make reasonable substitutions on the day. If this is not possible the venue reserves the right to cancel the experience at short notice.

Last Minute Deals

We regularly have late availability for experiences at special prices and bookings for these can generally be made right up until the day before the experience date.

Dates for experiences bought under these conditions cannot be refunded or exchanged, under any circumstances.

Promotional Codes and Discounts

Only one valid LIVE it promotional discount or discount code can be applied per order and can only be used if a discount has not already been applied. Discounts may be subject to specific terms, conditions and validity periods and may be withdrawn, without notice, at any time.

Personal Accident Insurance

As LIVE it is purely a booking agent representing various service providers, we do not carry personal accident insurance.

Experience providers warrant that they maintain appropriate public liability insurance for all risks associated with their businesses and service provisions. We make no warranty or representation about their businesses or services, whatsoever.

The responsibility rests with you to make independent enquiries with the experience providers or other third parties, as to the need to acquire your own insurance cover.


We welcome the participation of disabled people in our experiences, adventures, lifestyle and leisure options, although we do recognise that certain experiences may present difficulties for those with disabilities.

We are committed to ensuring that disabled customers are given every opportunity to participate, so we ask that you tell us about any relevant disability at the time of ordering. This enables us to do our best to meet the participant’s particular needs. We will be happy to provide information about the disabled facilities available at specific venues, on request.


We welcome your feedback on all of our products. If you have a problem or complaint on the day, please bring it to the attention of the host or experience manager at the venue as soon as possible, so that they have a chance to put matter right. If your problem is not resolved on the day, please write to us stating your name, voucher number, venue details, the person you spoke to and the specific circumstances and we will be happy to take the matter up with the supplier.

Generally, we consider it unreasonable if you take no action during an event, but then make a complaint at a later date.

Other Terms and Conditions

All prices quoted in our promotional material and on our website include VAT, where applicable, and are correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to change prices of any product, without notice.

In order to maintain the highest standard of customer service and to help with the on-going training of staff, we listen to and occasionally record telephone calls.

Whilst we take every care in choosing our suppliers, inclusion in our product range does not mean that we guarantee the safety standards or satisfactory performance of any of their experiences. LIVE it’s liability for any claim or breach of obligation regarding any single experience shall not exceed the price of that voucher or experience.

The text, illustrations and images used on our website and in all LIVE it promotional literature are protected by copyright and must not be copied in whole or in part, without the express written permission of LIVE it.

All of the above terms and conditions apply as a condition for using any voucher, whether or not the voucher holder is the original purchaser. LIVE it reserves the right to change these terms from time to time without reference to customers. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, and are governed by and in accordance with South African law.

We are a growing brand in South Africa and we have acquired both registered and unregistered rights in our trademarks and our logos. No-one may use our trademarks and logos without the express written permission of LIVE it.

Service providers and affiliates of LIVE it are provided with strict guidelines regarding the use of our intellectual property.
